Preventol CMK, also known as p-Chloro-m-cresol (PCMC, CAS No. 59-50-7), is a broad-spectrum antimicrobial preservative widely used in personal care, cosmetic, and hygiene products. It effectively inhibits the growth of bacteria, yeast, and molds, ensuring product safety, stability, and extended shelf life. Its excellent solubility in alcohols and oils, along with slight water solubility, makes it suitable for diverse formulations including creams, lotions, soaps, and disinfectants.
